Wendy Petrie's first job in journalism was with radio. After a brief stint as a writer at IRN she joined TV3, working as a writer and reporter for Nightline and 3 News. She headed to Canada where she eventually presented for CTV Newsnet's rolling news. She was in the hot seat during the terrorist attacks on the US. Back in New Zealand she joined TVNZ and from 2006 has co-hosted the 6pm bulletin with Simon Dallow.
