Britain’s most successful male mogul skier making the semi-finals at the1992 and 1994 Winter Olympic Games. Hugh competed on the World Cup circuit for four years making ten top 25 results. He won the British senior title four times and has three Commonwealth titles. Competing at this level taught him about focus, determination, resilience, the benefit of training particular skills and of using the best possible support, equipment and technology.
After retiring from skiing Hugh served four years on the British Olympic Executive representing all winter sports and was Athletes Director at the British Ski and Snowboard Federation. This taught him the importance of good strategic planning.
Hugh has also commentated and been a pundit for BBC, Eurosport, Sky and Olympic Broadcast Services who he worked with at the Pyeungchang Winter Olympics in February 2018. Commentating and working as a pundit along with his varied work and life experiences moved Hugh into business and motivational speaking.
Hugh combined his competitive ski career with a career in the British Army becoming a Captain in the Royal Engineers and serving in the UK, Germany and Cyprus. Operational and people management skills are just two key qualities military training and operational scenarios gave him

In 2011 Hugh moved to NZ and for six years worked at Sport NZ as Senior Commercial Advisor to the New Zealand sport and recreation sector. During this time, hedelivered commercial support to specific National Sports Organisations (NSO), National Recreation Organisations (NRO) and Regional Sport Trusts (RST), as part of an integrated business improvement service. He also worked on collective and sector wide projects resulting in business efficiencies and significant increased revenue.
His business and commercial experience has ranged from small private companies to major international brands and from the private sector to the public sector. He has worked in the UK, Europe, the USA and over the last seven years in NZ as well as Australia.

- Five years as Commercial Director and Head of Client Servicing at Fast Track (now CSM Sport and Entertainment), a London based international sports marketing agency.
- Four Years Sports Marketing Strategic Advisor for Red Bull UK
- Six Years as Managing Director of 9 Yards Marketing a UK based international sports and entertainment agency.
